Preselected or Self-drafted Beginner Project
Beginner Level Project | Ages 16+

Scheduling:
Time 12 hours of 1:1 time over three sessions. We’ll work together to coordinate scheduling for the three sessions.

Fiction Studio, 2717 Washington Blvd, Ogden, UT 84401

This is a beginner workshop. No experience is required. All tools and materials are included.

You will learn the process of building a project from start to finish by creating two pieces. A small 3x3 practice sun charm and a roughly 8 x 8 inches stained glass panel both in the Tiffany style method.

Day one: 3 - 4 hours:
We’ll start by making a small 3x3 project to learn some of the techniques and skills before we dive into the main project. You’ll learn to cut, shape, foil and solder. You’ll leave with a little sun charm that you made!

Day two: 3 - 4 hours:
The day will kick off with reviewing the final draft of your idea to be sure it's suitable for glass as a medium. Students can also choose from a selection designs I’ve created. Then we’ll dive into selecting glass colors, and continue to improve your cutting and shaping skills. This is naturally a good place to end the day as these steps are slow and precise.

Homework: You’ll take your shaped glass pieces home to foil for the next schedule studio day.

Day three: 3-4 hours: We’ll review the progress from the last session and make any edits. Then dig into soldering and framing the project. The final steps are to patina and wax finish.

*This workshop is designed for a max of two people per workshop. If you and a loved one would like to learn together there is a discount with the second registrant. All your sessions will need to be together. We can discuss separate times that will include an additional fee.

Refund Policy: All sales are final. No refunds are provided if you are not able to attend the workshop. I'm happy to accommodate rescheduling as life happens to us all. This is possible if notified 72 hours prior to the workshop's scheduled date. There is a $25 rescheduling fee. Please reach out as I do try my best to be accommodating within a reasonable scope.
